
News India Live, Digital Desk: Thiruvananthapuram: In view of the threat of wild animals in the forest areas of Kerala, the state government has decided to seek permission from the Center to kill wild animals, which remain a threat to the lives and property of the people in the state. The government is also considering whether the state can be amended by amending the Wildlife Protection Act to declare animals such as wild boar harmful animals and control the population of uncontrollably breeding species. The Chief Minister had earlier expressed the opinion that the Central Law should be amended to allow regulated victims.
Currently, state wild boars Allows to be conditionally damaged which damages agriculture and pose a threat to life and property. These rights were originally with the main wildlife warden, but the honorary wildlife warden and other authorized officers were handed over through government orders. Now the cabinet has approved the validity of these orders to increase one more year.
Incidents of wild boar, monkeys, elephants, leopards and bison fields and residential areas are becoming common, resulting in people who are often injured, lose their lives and destroy large -scale crops.
Farmers and local people have repeatedly expressed concern over timely intervention and compensation and have demanded strict action from the government.
