News India Live, Digital Desk: The incidents of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express in Bihar are not stopping. This is the second time in just three days that the Vande Bharat train, considered the most modern in the country, has been targeted. On Tuesday night, stones were pelted on the Vande Bharat Express going from Malda to Patna, due to which a window glass of the train was broken. This incident took place between Kursela station and Kadhagola station in Katihar district.
Why are such attacks happening again and again?
According to railway officials and police, this incident occurred at around 8 pm on Tuesday night. This is not the first case. On this Sunday, there was stone pelting on the same Malda-Patna Vande Bharat train near Kishanganj railway station. That is, such incidents are happening every second day, due to which a big question is being raised on the safety of the passengers and at the same time there is huge loss to the property of the Railways.
Incidents have happened before
It is not that this is only Bihar’s problem. There have been reports of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express from different parts of the country. These incidents are sometimes caused by mischievous elements pelting stones, and sometimes there have been cases of people getting angry and throwing stones when the driver suddenly applied brakes due to cattle coming on the railway track. However, from the continuous incidents happening in Bihar, it seems that a particular gang or community may be involved in such activities. Police and RPF (Railway Protection Force) are trying to find out the reasons and accused behind these incidents.
Such incidents spoil the traveling experience of modern trains like Vande Bharat and the Railways also has to suffer financial losses. Local administration and railway police will have to jointly take strict steps to curb these incidents and run awareness campaigns so that people avoid damaging the national property.
