These yoga asanas not only clean your stomach but also strengthen your digestive system.

So, let us know about those 3 effective yogasanas which will end your morning struggles.

1. Pawanmuktasana (Gas Relieving Asana)

As its name suggests, this asana is best for releasing gas and indigestion trapped in the stomach. When you press your knees towards your chest, it puts gentle pressure on your stomach and intestines, which improves digestion and makes bowel movements easier.

  • How to do:
    1. Lie straight on your back and keep your legs straight.
    2. While exhaling, bring both your knees towards your chest and hold them tightly with your hands.
    3. Try to press your thighs to your stomach.
    4. Now while inhaling, try to lift your head and touch your nose with your knees.
    5. In this position, keep breathing normally for 20-30 seconds. Then slowly come back to normal position. Repeat this 3-4 times.

2. Balasana (Child’s Pose)

This is a very comfortable posture. It not only provides relief from constipation, but also reduces stress and anxiety, which are often a major cause of constipation. In this posture, there is slight pressure on the stomach, due to which the internal organs are massaged.

  • How to do:
    1. Sit on your knees, just like you sit in Vajrasana.
    2. Exhaling, slowly bend forward.
    3. Rest your forehead on the ground and keep your hands straight on either side of the body (palms facing upward).
    4. In this position take deep and long breaths. Remain for one to two minutes.

3. Malasana (Indian Toilet Pose)

This is one of the most effective and natural yogasanas for constipation. Actually, this is the best position for our body to pass stool. By doing this asana, there is pressure on the lower part of the stomach, which is very helpful in expelling the stool.

  • How to do:
    1. Stand straight by keeping some distance between your two legs.
    2. Slowly sit down, bending your knees, like you sit on an Indian toilet.
    3. Place your elbows inside your knees and join both the palms in the Namaste posture.
    4. Try to keep your heels on the ground. Keep your back straight.
    5. Stay in this posture for 30-60 seconds.

Make these three yogasanas a part of your morning routine. You will start feeling the difference within a few days. Remember, medicines are just a temporary solution, whereas yoga is a natural and permanent way to root out your problem.
