News India Live, Digital Desk: Bihar Teacher Recruitment Dispute: In Bihar, the protest of the teachers of teachers regarding transparency and fairyness in the teacher appointment process is not taking the name of stopping. A large number of teachers candidates gathered today (Tuesday) at Dakbangla intersection of the capital Patna and shouted slogans against the government. They are mainly demanding to conduct Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (SET) before the fourth phase Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4).

Candidates say that many eligible students who do not pass STET will be deprived of appearing in the TRE-4 examination. He argues that when a large number of seats are vacant and eligible candidates are also present, then why another STET exam cannot be conducted so that everyone can get equal opportunities. He claimed that this will give thousands of B.Ed degree holders an opportunity to qualify for TRE-4 and the shortage of teachers will also be fulfilled.

From morning onwards, crowds of candidates started gathering at Dakbangla intersection, in view of which the administration had deployed a heavy police force. The police stopped the candidates at Dakbangla intersection and refused to move forward. The protesters also raised slogans against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Education Department. However, the protest was peaceful and no untoward incident has been reported, but the students have warned that if their demands are not met, they will intensify their movement.

The Bihar government and the education department have accelerated the teacher recruitment processes over the years, but there is still confusion among the students regarding the dates of TRE-4 and STET. Candidates say that this is an important issue related to their education and career and the government should focus on it as soon as possible.
