Jharkhand will no longer tolerate the step behavior of the central government.
We will control closed mines: Hemant Soren
Hemant Soren said, ‘Union Coal Minister came to Jharkhand. The coal minister said that the price of land in Jharkhand is high and it should be reduced. We replied to them that the land is ours and we will ask for whatever price you want for it. Coal companies should return the land owners of the mines from where they have stopped mining. If this does not happen, we will take legal action against them.
Anger over the neglect of Jharkhand
Chief Minister Hemant had targeted the central government, accusing him of neglecting Jharkhand in the budget. Soren said that Jharkhand has not got anything in the budget presented. The amount of MNREGA has been reduced. In the budget of Rs 50 lakh crore, the central government has to return Rs 12 lakh crore as interest.
Outsourcing companies are robbing coal: Hafeezul
Hafizul Hasan, a minister in the Hemant Soren government, also commented that, ‘outsourcing companies in coal fields are looting coal.’ Local people are not getting employment. Tundi MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato also accused the mining companies outside Jharkhand of being involved in hooliganism, saying, “The biggest problem of Dhanbad is displacement.” Many companies including BCCL are not solving this problem. The work of coal mining has been given to the outsourcing companies on their behalf and these companies are doing hooliganism. Companies like BCCL will have to think about the people here.
