Star bowler Mohammed Shami, who was out of Team India for a long time, has completed his surgery. While Shami's heel operation has been successful, Shami said through a social media post that it will take time for him to recover. Giving an update on his injury, Shami said that his heel operation was successful. The star bowler wrote an emotional post on social media. Shami wrote- I am desperate to stand back on my feet. Shami has shared a total of four pictures, in which he is seen admitted in the hospital.
Was out of IPL 2024 due to surgery
He was ruled out of IPL 2024 due to surgery, which dealt a big blow to Gujarat Titans. Shami also did not play in the ongoing Test series against England, he last played for India in the ODI World Cup final against Australia in November.
Shami played in the World Cup despite injury
Shami performed brilliantly for India and took 24 wickets in 7 World Cup matches, playing the entire tournament despite pain. He was having difficulty landing while bowling. But he did not let it affect his performance. Recently Shami was also honored with the Arjun Award. Shami has taken 229 Test, 195 ODI and 24 T20 wickets in a career spanning over a decade.

Shami also performed brilliantly in IPL 2023. Shami took maximum 28 wickets in 17 matches at an average of 18.64. Shami's entire IPL career has been explosive. He has played 110 IPL matches so far, taking 127 wickets at an average of 26.87 and an economy rate of 8.44. Shami has taken four wickets in an innings twice.
