Sensex crosses 74000, Nifty crosses 22500 in intra-day

Mumbai: In the global markets, after the rise in America yesterday and the end of cash segment in the stock markets in the financial year 2023-24, today on the first day of the new financial year 2024-25, funds, maharathi, players high net worth investors witnessed index based turmoil. Created a stir, intra-day Sensex at 74000 and Nifty at 22500. After crossing the surface, many stocks again saw a rise. Funds bought heavily in large cap shares. Aggressive buying was done in Finance, Banking, Automobile, Power, Healthcare, FMCG, Capital Goods, Cement frontline stocks. In the initial stormy rise, the Sensex jumped 1,194 points to 74,190.31 and closed 655.04 points higher at 73,651.35. Nifty 50 spot rose 392.35 points to 22516 and finally closed at 22326.90 with a gain of 203.25 points.

Capital goods index rises 925 points: Suzlon, LG Equipment, Honeywell, Finolex rise

BSE Capital Goods index closed 924.85 points higher at 60943.12 as funds continued aggressive buying in capital goods stocks today. Suzlon NG rose by Rs 1.92 to Rs 40.47, Finolex Cables rose by Rs 25.95 to Rs 1001, GMR Airports rose by Rs 1.86 to Rs 81.62, Bharat Forge rose by Rs 23.90 to Rs 1135, Larsen & Toubro rose by Rs 68 to Rs 3774.10.

Auto index up 578 points: Sundaram up Rs 48, Hero up Rs 146, Eicher Motors up Rs 110

Today, due to widespread rise in the shares of automobile companies, BSE Auto Index increased by 578.52 points and closed at 49142.11. Sundaram rose by Rs 48.10 to Rs 1107.10, Hero MotoCorp rose by Rs 146.60 to Rs 4717.20, Eicher Motors rose by Rs 109.80 to Rs 4024.25, Mahindra & Mahindra rose by Rs 42.45 to Rs 1921.35, Cummins India rose by Rs 54.35 to Rs 3021.75, Tata Motors Ashok increased by Rs 14.20 to Rs 993 Leyland rose by Rs 2.25 to Rs 171.15, MRF 1615 by Rs 1.30 at Rs 1,33,500.

Interest in small, midcap stocks increased, but caution in many stocks: Tiv: 2042 shares closed negative

There was a rise in small, midcap and cash stocks today. Of course, market sentiment was negative as the number of shares outstanding remained high. Out of the total 3938 stocks traded on BSE, the number of declining stocks was 2042 and the number of gaining stocks was 1793.

Bankex rises 436 points: State Bank rises Rs 19 to Rs 753: BOB, ICICI Bank rise

Banking stocks rose today led by State Bank. The price of State Bank of India went up to Rs 759.55 and finally increased by Rs 18.55 to Rs 752.60. Today, BSE Healthcare index closed 408.96 points higher at 35052.84 points due to widespread inflows of funds into shares of healthcare-pharmaceutical companies. Suven Pharma rose by Rs 40.40 to Rs 680, Caplin Labs rose by Rs 70.05 to Rs 1330, Piramal Pharma rose by Rs 6.55 to Rs 128.90, Wockhardt rose by Rs 27.75 to Rs 583.55, Indraprastha Medi rose by Rs 7.75 to Rs 583.55. 171.75, RPG Life increased by Rs 57.50 to Rs 1530, Coproan increased by Rs 8.95 to Rs 255.95, IPCA Labs increased by Rs 41.85 to Rs 1240, Sanofi India increased by Rs 244.05 to Rs 8198.15, Kovai Medical increased by Rs 109.15 to Rs 3760.

Tata Steel, Jindal Steel, JSW Steel, NMDC, APL gain traction among metal stocks

Metal-mining stocks were also undervalued by funds today. Tata Steel increased by Rs 3.05 to Rs 155.90, Jindal Steel increased by Rs 15.95 to Rs 849.75, JSW Steel increased by Rs 14.65 to Rs 832.45, NMDC increased by Rs 2.65 to Rs 201.70, APL Apollo increased by Rs 17.15 to Rs 1491.15, Coal India increased by Rs 3 to Rs 433.75, Hindal Rs 2.90 It increased to Rs 560.45.

Reliance profit booking down by Rs 11 to Rs 2977: ONGC, BPCL, HPCL rise

There was a surge in profit booking in oil-gas stocks yesterday after the bullish report of Goldman Sachs, after which Reliance Industries fell by Rs 11.05 to Rs 2,976.80.
