Congress has announced the second list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. This second list of Congress includes 43 names
Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal confirmed this. He said that we have announced our first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Today we are going to announce another list.
Earlier, the party had released the first list of 39 candidates. Congress has announced a total of 82 names so far.
In its second list, Congress has announced its candidates for seats in Assam, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Daman and Diu and Madhya Pradesh.
Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that out of 43 candidates in the second list, 10 are from General Category, 13 from OBC, 10 from SC, 9 from ST and 1 Muslim candidate.
Nakul Nath, son of former CM Kamal Nath, has been given ticket from Chhindwara seat of Madhya Pradesh. Gaurav Gogoi has been declared candidate from Jorhaj in Assam. Vaibhav Gehlot, son of former CM Ashok Gehlot, has been given ticket from Jalore in Rajasthan. Apart from this, Rahul Kaswan, associated with BJP and Congress, has got ticket from Churu Lok Sabha seat.

Talking about Gujarat, Congress has announced 7 candidates from Gujarat in this list. Bharat Makwana has been given ticket from Ahmedabad West. His father Yogendra Makwana was a minister in Rajiv Gandhi's government. His mother Shantaben Makwana has been MLA three times.
Bardoli candidate Siddharth Chaudhary has a Congress background. He is the son of former MLA and former MP Amar Singh Chaudhary. Tapi is also an executive member of the District Panchayat and a director of Sumul Dairy.
