Today schools will remain closed in many states of the country. A decision has been taken to keep schools closed due to the counting of assembly elections in Bihar. At the same time, due to poor air quality (AQI) in Delhi and Noida, schools will either remain closed or the option of online classes has been given. Let us know in which states of the country there is a holiday in schools today.
Classes will run both online and offline in Delhi-NCR
The air quality index in Delhi and Noida continues to remain poor, due to which the administration has once again had to take strict measures. Under GRAP-III (Graded Response Action Plan), it has been decided to run classes up to class 5 in Delhi in hybrid mode. This means that children can study online from home as per their convenience or can go to school and join classes.
Noida schools have also taken a similar decision. All outdoor school activities, such as morning prayer meetings, sports and games in the open air, have been stopped for the time being. Many schools have even advised parents to keep an eye on the school-teacher group, because instructions to start online classes may come at any time.
Bihar: Schools closed due to election counting.
Counting of assembly elections is to be held in Bihar on November 14, due to which holiday has been declared in schools in many districts. Schools have been made counting centers in Samastipur, Patna and many nearby districts.
All government and private schools in the districts where votes are being counted will remain closed. However, classes will be held normally in the rest of the districts. The administration has appealed to the parents to contact their school once for correct information about the holiday.
Telangana: Holidays extended due to by-elections and counting
In Telangana too, schools have been kept closed due to Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. Due to November 14 being the counting day, there will be a holiday in all educational institutions. Some schools have organized online review sessions for children by linking this holiday with the Children’s Day program, so that there is no harm to their studies.
Schools will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir also
Schools will remain closed due to the counting of by-elections held on November 11 in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to counting of votes in Budgam and Nagrota assembly constituencies, one day holiday has been given in educational institutions.
Classes will run normally in other states
In states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and West Bengal, schools will open as usual. At some places, half a day holiday or special programs can be organized on the occasion of Children’s Day.
