The holy month of Sawan, dedicated to Mahadev, the God of Gods, has started and throughout this month Shiva devotees are seen absorbed in worshiping Lord Shiva with full devotion. This time in the month of Sawan, very special preparations have been made in Kashi city for the Shiva devotees coming from India and abroad. This time, on all four Mondays falling during Sawan, Baba Kashi Vishwanath will appear to his devotees in four different grand and supernatural forms. Throughout the year, only on these special days of Sawan, one gets the privilege of seeing these rare forms of Baba, for which amazing enthusiasm and joy is being seen among the Shiva devotees.

When and how will Baba be seen on all four Mondays of Sawan?

According to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple administration, on the first Monday of Sawan i.e. 3 August 2026, a special ‘Shankar form’ of Baba Kashi Vishwanath will be decorated, in which a temporary statue decorated with flowers will be installed inside the sanctum sanctorum and devotees will be able to see this wonderful form after the Saptarishi Aarti. After this, on the second Monday of Sawan i.e. 10 August 2026, Baba’s very rare ‘Gauri Shankar form’ adornment will take place, in which the combined form of Shiva and Parvati can be seen only once in a year. On the third Monday of Sawan i.e. 17th August 2026, Baba’s Ardha-Narishwar form will be decorated, which is very divine and charming in itself. At the same time, on the fourth Monday of Sawan, a grand ‘Rudraksh adornment’ of Baba will be done using about five lakh genuine Rudraksha beads and after darshan, these Rudrakshas will be distributed among the devotees in the form of Prasad.

Special swing will be decorated on Sawan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan

A very special and historic event will be seen in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple on the last phase of the month of Sawan i.e. Sawan Purnima and the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan (27-28 August 2026). On this day, the famous ‘Jhula Shringaar’ of Baba Kashi Vishwanath will be done, in which Lord Shiva will sit on the swing with his entire family and give a grand darshan to all his devotees. On the day of Raksha Bandhan, lakhs of devotees are expected to gather in Kashi to have darshan of this supernatural court. The temple administration and local police have made elaborate arrangements for smooth darshan and security for all Shiva devotees, so that everyone can easily receive the blessings of these rare forms of Baba.
