Whereas in the month of September itself, the decision to take forward the process of satellite spectrum was taken. It is believed that the government also wants to settle this matter very soon. According to sources, the government wants to start satellite services from the new year. Therefore, TRAI has been given the deadline to give recommendations before 15th December.
According to sources, TRAI has started working on this. Recommendations on this can be issued in the next 7 to 8 days. After this, the government can also take it forward soon and take cabinet approval on it. Companies providing satellite services are likely to get spectrum by the end of December, so that companies can provide satellite services from January.
