Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Series Leak: Tech giant Samsung is once again all set to maintain its dominance in the world of premium foldable smartphones. It is expected that the company can launch its next generation flagship foldable series, i.e. ‘Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8’, in the global market next month. Even before the official launch, many big and surprising specifications related to this series have been leaked online.
According to reports, this time Samsung can make a big change in its portfolio and introduce two different models like Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and standard Galaxy Z Fold 8. Leaks claim that while the main design of the Ultra model is going to remain the same as the previous Galaxy Z Fold 7, in the standard version, users will get to see a much wider inner foldable screen than before. Apart from this, recent leaks have also given very interesting hints regarding the weight of the phone and its sale dates.
The weight of the standard model will be very less, there will be no feeling of heaviness in the hand.
Famous tipster Lanzuk has claimed in a post on the Korean social media platform ‘Naver’ that this time the weight of the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 has been greatly reduced at the engineering level. According to him, people who have used this prototype device in their hands have been surprised to see its lightness. Tech experts believe that this ‘Feather-Light’ (extremely light) design of the phone can prove to be its biggest USP (Unique Selling Proposition) in the market.
Although, the official figure of its exact weight has not been given in the leaked post, but industry sources believe that its total weight may be only around 201 grams. If this claim proves to be true, it will be much lighter than the previous Galaxy Z Fold 7 (weighing 215 grams). It is worth noting that the current model is also considered quite lightweight in the book-style foldable segment, so its weight of 201 grams will put it in the category of normal smartphones.
Better pixels and relief from screen creases, major upgrade in display
This time users are going to get a great experience on the display front also. It has been clearly stated in the leaked report that in the new wide model, the display pixels and the ‘crease area’ visible on the foldable screen have been improved much more than before.
This time Samsung is going to use much thicker and advanced ultra-thin glass (UTG) on the folding part. Due to this technology, not only will the line (crease) in the middle of the screen almost disappear, but the strength and durability of the display will also increase manifold.
Pre-booking will start from 4th August and explosive sale will start from 7th August.
Talking about the launch and sale timeline, the tipster claims that both the premium smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will be made available for sale globally from August 7. At the same time, the process of pre-reservation or pre-booking for these devices will be made live from August 4 itself.
If we look at the old reports, Samsung is going to organize a grand ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event in London on July 22, where these two foldable phones will be officially unveiled. On this platform, the company can also present its clamshell foldable Galaxy Z Flip 8 and new wearable series Galaxy Watch 9 to the world.
Will get the power of Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 45W fast charging.
According to leaked reports, this time to take the performance to the next level, both Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra models will be provided with Qualcomm’s most powerful ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5’ chipset, which will be able to handle advanced AI features very easily.
Talking about camera setup, the standard model is expected to have a powerful dual rear camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors on the back panel. For power backup, a capable battery of 4,800mAh will be fitted in this thin phone, which will support 45W wired fast charging technology, so that your phone will be charged in a few minutes.
