
The rules for opening schools, colleges and technical institutes in Uttar Pradesh have been changed. Now the new rules will not be allowed to open schools in the street. According to the new building construction and development by-law-2025, now nursery schools will be able to open on a 500 sqm plot on 9 meters wide road. Primary school will require 1,000 sqm, 5,000 sqm for degree college and 20,000 sqm plot for university.
The main things of the new rules:
- 500 sqm plot for nursery, road 9 meters wide
- Plot for Primary School and Inter College 2,000 sqm, Road 12 meters wide
- Plot for degree colleges and technical institutes 5,000 sqm, road 18 meters wide
- Plot for university 20,000 sqm, road 24 meters wide
Changes in building construction rules:
- Ground coverage will be up to 25% for opening the crush on residential plots.
- The floor area ratio (FAR) was increased from two to seven, so that the land could be maximum utilized.
- The mandatory of playgrounds will remain.
- Parking of buses and pick and drop arrangement of students will be within the school premises.
- Permission to create separate blocks for parking arrangements, in which up to 10% coverage will be valid.
Benefits from change:
Changes in these rules will increase the number of educational institutions in the state rapidly. The exemption of opening institutes on small plots and narrow roads will now make it easier for the availability of land. Also, problems like traffic jam will also be overcome.
