News India Live, Digital Desk: The world is once again worried about the possibility of war. After the tensions between Russia-Ukraine and the Middle East, now everyone’s eyes are on East Asia, where the tension between China and Taiwan has reached its peak. The situation has become so critical that not only has activity increased on the military front, but its direct impact is now visible on the general public and international travel as well.

China’s siege and war-like atmosphere
The pictures and news that have come from Taiwan in the last few hours are really worrying. China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has started military exercises by surrounding Taiwan from almost three or four sides. Calling it a ‘show of power’ would be an understatement, because dozens of Chinese fighter jets and warships have been seen very close to Taiwan’s border.

It seems as if China wants to send the message that it can completely isolate this island from the world whenever it wants. Taiwan’s security agencies are also on full alert and are preparing to respond to every movement.

bad effect on air travel
The first victim of this tension has been the ‘Aviation Sector’. When deployment of missiles and jets increases on the border, first of all the airspace (sky) becomes unsafe. It is reported that due to security reasons many flights to and from Taiwan have had to be cancelled. Many foreign planes have changed their routes, due to which air travel has not only become expensive but has also created an atmosphere of fear among the passengers.

For those who were about to travel to Taiwan or are stranded there, this uncertainty is taking a heavy toll. Crowd at airports is increasing and common people are worried due to cancellation of flights.

Why is this ruckus taking place?
If seen, this dispute is quite old. China considers Taiwan as its part, while Taiwan sees itself as a democratic and independent nation. From time to time, whenever Taiwan talks about its autonomy or takes military help from any foreign country (especially America), China expresses its displeasure by conducting similar military drills. But experts say that this time the siege seems more strict and scary than previous experiences.

Is this the beginning of war?
It is too early to say anything right now, but in the world of diplomacy, such a siege is considered an alarm bell. The whole world is appealing at this time that the matter should be resolved through talks, because if the conflict increases in this region, it will have a bad impact on global trade and tech supply chain (shortage of chips).

At present, the sounds of fighter jets in the sky of Taiwan are scaring the people there. The coming few days are going to be very important whether China withdraws its army or this tension will take some other new direction.
