On Tuesday, the Bombay High Court directed the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) to return Riya’s passport, which was seized in 2020.

The NCB seized Riya’s passport in the drugs case related to the death of late actor and his former partner Sushant Singh Rajput.

A bench headed by Justice Neela Gokhale ordered to restore her passport, saying there is no reason to doubt the intentions of the actress.

The court has returned his passport with the condition that Riya will have to appear in every hearing until the trial court is exempted.

He has also been asked to provide detailed information about his journey program including flight and hotel details to the prosecution at least four days before going out of the country.

The High Court further directed that they have to share their mobile number, keep their phone on and on returning, they will have to inform the investigating agencies immediately.

Those who do not know, let them know that on June 14, 2020, NCB detained Riya in the drugs case related to Sushant’s death. However, he was granted bail on the condition of submitting his passport with NCB.

Recently, the ‘Jalebi’ actress filed a new petition through her lawyer Ayaz Khan, requesting her passport to be issued.

Riya said that since her passport has been confiscated, she is unable to do her professional tasks freely abroad.

Her lawyer argued that Riya had followed all court instructions in the past and intends to continue doing so in future.
