News India Live, Digital Desk: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has given relief news amidst the scorching heat and heat wave in Bihar. The weather patterns are changing rapidly in the districts of North Bihar. Meteorological Centre, Patna has issued ‘Yellow Alert’ regarding storm, moderate rain and lightning in 7 districts of the state including Araria. While the districts of South Bihar are scorching in 44 degree heat, pre-monsoon activities have started in the border areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dust storm and thundershowers in many parts of the state in the next 48 hours.

‘Yellow alert’ issued in these districts including Araria The weather department has issued a warning especially in seven districts of North Bihar—Araria, Kishanganj, Supaul, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Sheohar and East Champaran. In these areas, there are chances of strong winds blowing at the speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour and rain along with lightning. Cloud movement has increased in Araria and surrounding areas in the last 24 hours, due to which a slight drop in the minimum temperature has been recorded. The local administration has advised people to stay away from tall trees and electric poles during inclement weather.

The torture of ‘Loo’ will continue in South Bihar While there is a possibility of rain in North Bihar, there is little hope of getting relief from the scorching heat in 19 districts of South Bihar including the capital Patna. In districts like Gaya, Aurangabad, Rohtas and Nawada, the mercury still remains between 40 to 44 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there are signs of decline in temperature in South Bihar only after April 28. Till then, the scorching heat and heatwave will continue in these areas, due to which normal life is likely to be affected.

Important advice and caution for farmers In view of the unseasonal rains and storms, agricultural experts have asked the farmers of North Bihar to take special precautions. Farmers whose harvested crops are in barns or kept in the open have been advised to immediately shift them to safe places. Also, in case of lightning, farmers working in the fields have been asked to take shelter in permanent houses or safe buildings. Mango and litchi crops can also be damaged due to dust storm, which has increased the concern of gardeners.

Fall in temperature: When will we get complete relief? According to IMD Patna, a low-pressure system is active over Bihar and Jharkhand. Due to its effect, a big change can be seen in the weather of entire Bihar on 27th and 28th April. It is expected that there will be rain in most parts of the state by the end of the month, due to which the mercury may fall by 3-4 degrees. This rain will be no less than a boon for the people of Bihar who are suffering from the scorching heat.
