Information given by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has given information about the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel through social media. The ministry said IOCL supplies petrol and diesel to four islands of Kavaratti, Minicoy, Andrott and Kalpeni in Lakshadweep. IOCL has depots at Kavaratti and Minicoy. The depot is supplied from the IOCL depot at Kochi, Kerala.
Prices fell across the country on Friday
Earlier on Friday, government oil companies had reduced the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per liter across the country. After this announcement by the Central Government, the Rajasthan Government reduced VAT on petrol and diesel in the state by 2 percent. Due to which the state got double profit in price. Before Friday's cut, government oil companies had cut the prices of petrol and diesel 22 months ago i.e. on May 21, 2022.
