This is the biggest and holiest day of the year for the followers of Sikhism. To make this special occasion memorable, Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha, Krishnanagar (Ranchi) has geared up.
On Monday, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sabha President Dwarka Das Munjal, in which the programs of Prakash Parv were outlined and various sevadars were assigned their responsibilities.
Main Attraction: Grand Nagar Kirtan
The Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is incomplete without city kirtan. This year also a grand Nagar Kirtan will be organised, in which thousands of devotees will participate.
- Beautiful palanquin will be decorated: The main attraction of the Nagar Kirtan will be the beautiful palanquin decorated with flowers, in which Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji will be adorned.
- Panj Pyare will lead: The Panj Pyare (Five Beloved) Nagars will lead the kirtan at the front of the palanquin.
- The city will echo with Shabad Kirtan: During Nagar Kirtan, Ragi groups will sing Shabad and Gurbani, making the entire atmosphere devotional.
- Gatka party will show Jauhar: Gatka party of Sikh youth will showcase their traditional bravery and war art, which is always the center of attraction.
Flowers will be showered by devotees on the entire route of Nagar Kirtan and arrangements for tea, snacks and langar will be made at various places.
Special attention will be paid to cleaning and decoration
In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on cleanliness, electricity and decoration of the route of Gurdwara Sahib and Nagar Kirtan. For this, it was decided to seek cooperation from Ranchi Municipal Corporation, so that no devotee faces any inconvenience during the Prakash Parv.
Diwan and langar will be organized
On the day of Prakash Parv, a special Diwan will be decorated in Gurudwara Sahib. In this, the famous Ragi group will enthrall the gathering with Gurbani Kirtan. After the end of the Diwan, Atut Langar will be organised, in which thousands of people will sit together and receive the Guru’s Prasad.
Sabha President Dwarka Das Munjal and Secretary Arjun Dev Midha said that various committees have been formed to conduct all the programs of Prakash Parv smoothly. He has appealed to the Sangat of Ranchi to participate enthusiastically in these programs and serve. Manish Midha, Ashok Gera, Mohan Kathpal, Harjeet Bedi and many other members were present in the meeting.
