At 9:20 am, the Sensex fell further by 225 points and was below 72,550 points. Nifty was trading near 21,950 points with a fall of 45 points.
Pre-open session signal
A decline was seen in the market in the pre-open session. Before the start of the trading session in the market, the Sensex fell by 200 points and came close to 72,500 points in the pre-open session. At that time, a decline of more than 50 points was seen in the Nifty index. Nifty futures in GIFT City were also indicating the beginning of trading with losses.
Big fall seen yesterday
A day earlier on Wednesday, a big fall was seen in the market. The stock market has been under pressure since the beginning of this week. On Wednesday, the third day of the week, Sensex closed at 72,761.89 points, falling 906.07 points. NSE's Nifty 50 index fell 338 points to 21,997.70. This is the biggest one-day fall in the market in recent times.
