News India Live, Digital Desk: Politics Heats Up in Pakistan: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has given a big statement on the circumstances of his imprisonment. Khan has been lodged in jail since the sentence in a case of corruption, called Toshkhana case. He has alleged that he is facing the most rigorous and worst imprisonment given to any leader in the history of Pakistan. Imran Khan, who is currently in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, told this to the media through a lawyer after his private doctor and a panel visit of doctors at his home. This lawyer later reiterated his statement. According to Imran Khan, he is being treated in jail as is done with ordinary criminals, not with any former Prime Minister. This situation seems worse when he is in this unjust captivity without any reason. According to him, this kind of behavior can be done in only one situation – when the jail superintendent asks him to prove that there is a “special purpose” for him to do so. He further said that he is neither being given newspapers, nor can he come out of the jail to offer prayers or walk. They are kept alone in the same small closet for about 23 hours, and they are compared to a “pull-side swimming pool bathing in the pool”. He says that his life is still in danger. Along with this, he has also claimed that he is being pressurized by senior jail officials. East cricketer -turned -politician Imran Khan was sentenced to three years in jail by a court in Islamabad on August 5, convicting the Toshkhana corruption case, after which he was arrested. Although the Islamabad High Court later suspended his sentence on August 29, Khan is still in custody due to the May 9 riots and various other cases. He has claimed that all cases filed against him are “fake” and “inspired by politics”
