News India Live, Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who reached West Bengal to fight the Lok Sabha elections, has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress (TMC). While addressing a huge public meeting in Krishnanagar, PM Modi took a taunt in a unique way by mentioning Bengal’s famous snack ‘Jhalmuri’. He said that the love of Bengal draws him, but when he enjoys the culture here, the ruling party starts feeling pain.
Big attack on TMC on the pretext of ‘Jhalmuri’
Seeing the crowd gathered at the rally, PM Modi said with enthusiasm, “What did I eat in Jhalmudi, the chilli directly hit the TMC leaders.” In fact, PM Modi has often shown connection with local cuisine and culture during his visits to Bengal. Attacking the Mamata government on the same pretext, he said that TMC has a problem with the development of Bengal and respect for its traditions. The PM alleged that Didi’s government in Bengal is only filling the bag with ‘corruption and nepotism’.
Circle on the issue of Sandeshkhali and corruption
In his address, the Prime Minister put the TMC government in the dock by mentioning the Sandeshkhali incident and various scams in Bengal. He said that the people of Bengal have now made up their mind for change. PM Modi said, “TMC has made Bengal a center of manipulation and cut-money. Mothers and daughters here are not safe and the youth are yearning for employment.”
Claim of BJP wave in Krishnanagar
Creating an atmosphere in favor of the BJP candidate from Krishnanagar Lok Sabha seat, the Prime Minister said that BJP’s victory in Bengal is certain. He called upon the people to end TMC’s ‘reign of terror’ this time by voting. Referring to central government schemes like PM Awas Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana, the PM explained how the Mamata government is preventing these benefits from reaching the general public.
The grounds echoed with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’
During the rally, the entire ground echoed with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Modi-Modi’. PM Modi finally said that the land of Bengal is the land of brave great men and the time has come to free it from the clutches of corrupt leaders. After this rally, the war of words in Bengal politics is likely to intensify further.
