News India Live, Digital Desk: The newly formed alliance of opposition parties ‘India’ (India) has organized another important online meeting, which will be held on 19 July. After the first joint meeting successfully concluded in Bengaluru, the purpose of this virtual discussion is to contemplate the current political situation and discuss further strategies. This meeting is considered an important step towards uniting the opposition before the Lok Sabha elections.

However, some challenges within the coalition just before this important meeting seem to be emerging. It is reported that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to keep itself away from this virtual meat. The displeasure of AAP is mainly about the Delhi ordinance, on which the Congress’ stance is yet to be clear. AAP has repeatedly appealed to the Congress to openly support him against the ordinance, but it seems that the Congress has not yet taken any final decision on the matter, which has increased the tension between the two parties.

According to sources, big parties like Congress, Trinamool Congress, Janata Dal (U), Rashtriya Janata Dal and Samajwadi Party are going to participate in this meeting. The intention of the opposition camp is that a strong and united front should be prepared against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The findings of Bangalore meeting will also be discussed in this online session and joint campaigns and shared strategies for the coming days can be finalized. It remains to be seen how much the AAP distance affects the effort of this broader opposition unity, and whether this alliance will be able to fill all its cracks before the upcoming elections.
