Till now only big institutions had NIRF ranking, but now this system will be implemented at the state level also.

Perception: Image of the college among the industry and the public.
2. How will students benefit from this? (Benefits for Students)
Often students and parents fall prey to the advertisements of private colleges. This ranking will give them the following benefits:
the right choice: Students will be able to know which college has really good placement record and where there are only paper claims.
Fees vs Quality: On the basis of ranking, students will be able to decide whether that college is providing education as per its fees.
Competition among colleges: To come up in the ranking, private colleges will have to improve their facilities and standard of education.

4. When will this system be implemented?
According to the report, Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Council and Technical Education Department are working on this. Hopefully the upcoming Academic session 2026-27 This ranking list will be made public before admission.
