Aadhaar card new rule: Be it while taking a room in a hotel, buying a SIM card or for any other purpose, till now we had to give a photocopy of our Aadhaar card almost everywhere. But this habit is going to change soon. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is going to bring such a big rule, which will completely eliminate the hassle of submitting photocopy of Aadhar card.

Today Aadhar Card has become the most important document of our identity. In such a situation, it is very important for you to know about this change.

Why is the paper game stopping?

Till now, what used to happen was that we used to give a photocopy of our Aadhaar for verification, which was lying in paper form with those institutions. Due to this, there was always a risk of your personal information falling into the wrong hands or being misused. To eliminate this problem and make your data secure, UIDAI is now going to completely stop this old system of paper-based verification.

So how will the verification happen now?

UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar has said that the entire process of Aadhaar verification will now be digital. Now these new and safe methods will be used instead of photocopying:

  1. QR Code Scanning: Your identity will be instantly verified by scanning the QR code given on your Aadhar card. This would be one of the fastest and safest methods.
  2. New mobile app: UIDAI is also going to launch a new mobile app, which will make this process even easier. Through this app, “App-to-App” verification will be done, so that no one will need to ask you for a photocopy of Aadhaar.

Now if any institution, like a hotel or shop, wants to do Aadhaar verification, then they will have to first register themselves with UIDAI. After this they will be able to use these digital methods.

What will be the benefits to the common man?

With the implementation of this new rule, you will get many direct benefits:

  • Security first: Your Aadhaar data will remain completely safe, because no one will have any physical copy of it.
  • Freedom from hassle: The tension of getting the photocopy done again and again and carrying it around with you will end.
  • Fast and easy: Verification work will be completed in a few seconds from your mobile, which will save your time.

This rule is now in the final stages of its approval and very soon it will be implemented across the country. This is not just a rule change, but a big and important step towards making your personal information secure.
