News India Live, Digital Desk: This new update of YouTube is coming under the ‘Shorts Remix’ menu, which will give unlimited freedom to creators to make changes to existing videos.
1. ‘Reimagine’ feature
This feature has the ability to convert a single frame (photo) of any existing Shorts video into a completely new video.
How it will work: Creators can select a frame from a shorts and give the AI prompts to turn it into a new video.
Customization: You can give ‘Suggested’ or ‘Custom’ prompts as per your choice. Also, you can also upload two reference photos for better results.
2. ‘Add Object’ feature
As the name suggests, this feature allows adding new elements to a particular scene of the video.
How it will work: You can insert any object with the help of AI into any 8-second scene of the original shorts.
Example: If there is an empty table in a video, you can add a bouquet or any other thing on it through AI prompts.
What will happen to the copyright and original creator?
YouTube has clarified that the rights of the original creators will still be taken into account when using these AI tools:
Link Back: Every new shorts video created with these tools will include a link to the original video, so that the original creator can get credit.
Opt-out option: If a creator does not want their video to be remixed or ‘re-imagined’, they can turn it off in Settings.
Availability
Currently these features testing phase and only a select few english speaking creators Are made available only for. After successful testing, it will be rolled out to everyone globally.
