News India Live, Digital Desk: Khalistani Terrorist: The Khalistani movement in Canada has suffered another major setback. One of Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s closest colleagues and ‘Sikh for Justice’ (SFJ), Inderjit Singh Gosal has been arrested by the Canadian police. Gosal has been accused of keeping illegal and banned weapons. This arrest is considered an important event between the stressful relations between India and Canada.
Who is this close to Nijjar?
After the murder of 36 -year -old Inderjit Singh Gosal, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Khalistani became a major face in Canada. He is also considered very close to SFJ’s kingpin Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and he used to handle his safety during Pannu’s Canadian tours. Gosal’s name has been in controversy earlier also. Last year, he was also arrested in a violent clash in a Hindu temple in Toronto. He was accused of attacking the people worshiping in the temple.
What are the allegations?
Gosal was arrested from Ottawa along with two of his colleagues. The police have recovered unlicensed and banned handgun from him. This arrest has taken place at a time when it was recently agreed to fight terrorism between the National Security Advisers of India and Canada.
SFJ defended, told the danger of life
Here, ‘Sikh for Justice’ has presented a different story about the arrest of Gosal. The SFJ claims that Gosal’s life is threatened by India, and the Canadian officials had already warned him about it. The organization says that the police had also offered him security, but Gosal rejected it.
This case may once again spare a debate about the role of Khalistani supporters and Indian agencies in Canada after the Nijjar murder case. The then Prime Minister of Canada had accused the Indian agents of the murder of Nijjar, after which the relationship between the two countries is at a very low level. It will now be seen what a new turn Gosal’s arrest brings in this case.
