
News India Live, Digital Desk: Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), Which is a private aid organization supported by the US and Israel, in a statement said that it would start aid distribution in the surrounded area on Monday 26 May.
The statement said, “We are not scared. Our trucks are loaded and are ready to leave. From May 26, GHF will start providing direct assistance to Gaza. We are planning to expand rapidly in the coming weeks and reach the entire population. ” It came a few hours after the resignation of Jake Wood, Executive Director of the organization. He cited the disability of the organization as the reason for the resignation in implementing the assistance distribution scheme without violating the human principles of the organization.
He said that he is saddened by the problem of hunger in Gaza and he has demanded to make a neutral, safe mechanism to deliver food in Gaza. “However, it is not possible to implement this plan by strictly following the principles of humanity, neutrality and fairness and freedom, which I will not leave.”
He urged Israel to significantly expand the provision of assistance in Gaza through all the mechanisms, and urged all stakeholders to “continue searching for innovative ways to provide help, without delay, deviation or discrimination.”
Human organizations criticized GHF:
It is worth noting that United Nations agencies, support groups and many NGOs working in Gaza refused to partner with GHF, as they said GHF does not have the experience or ability to provide assistance to more than 2 million people.
GHF Is criticized as it limits only one part of Gaza while other does not meet serious needs. Eleven human, human rights organizations signed a statement stating that GHF.
