New rules for LPG cylinder booking: Now refill will not be done before 25 days, know the new order of the government

News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the ongoing tension and war in West Asia, the Indian government has made major changes in the booking rules to ensure the supply of domestic gas and to prevent black marketing (hoarding). The Petroleum Ministry has clarified that this step has been taken only to balance the supply and there is sufficient stock of gas in the country.

Major new rules of LPG booking

25 day waiting period: Now you can find the rear cylinder. only after 25 days Will be able to book a new cylinder. Earlier this limit was of 21 days.

Control on hoardings: The government found that some people were panicking and booking within 15-20 days, increasing the pressure on the supply system. To prevent this, the ‘lock-in’ period has been extended.

eKYC mandatory: In many states (like West Bengal), e-KYC updated customers are being given priority in delivery. If your KYC is incomplete, there may be problems in booking.

Priority to domestic gas: Refineries have been ordered to give top priority to the production and distribution of domestic LPG over commercial gas.

There was a change in prices also

LPG prices to be increased on March 7, 2026 due to recent crisis and surge in global crude oil prices:

Domestic Cylinder (14.2 kg): Its price in Delhi is approximately ₹913 (Increase of ₹60).

Commercial Cylinder (19 kg): in its price ₹114.50 There has been an increase of ₹, due to which it has become approximately ₹ 1883 in Delhi.

How to book? Checklist

If 25 days have passed since your last cylinder, you can book through:

Official Portal: Go to mylpg.in and select your gas company (Indane, HP, Bharat Gas).

Mobile Apps: Go to ‘Gas Cylinder’ section of Paytm, PhonePe or Google Pay.

WhatsApp/IVRS: Message or call the official number of the company related to your registered mobile number.

Special Tip: If your gas cylinder expires before 25 days, you can contact your nearest gas agency and ask for help under special circumstances, although as per the rules, a lock-in period of 25 days has been set in the software.
