Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan is going to witness a grand swearing-in ceremony, where Nitish Kumar will take oath as the Chief Minister for the record 10th time. This ceremony will be held on 20th November and preparations are being made at every level to make it memorable.
Veterans will gather including Modi-Shah, 3 lakh people expected
This swearing-in ceremony is also being seen as a show of strength by the NDA. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, many Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states are also likely to participate in the program. After a long gap of about 10 years, the swearing-in ceremony of a government is taking place at Gandhi Maidan. BJP leaders claim that 2 to 3 lakh people will gather in the grounds to witness this historic occasion. The administration is also making seating arrangements for more than one lakh people.
Tight security arrangements, leave of officers cancelled.
In view of the possibility of VVIP movement and huge crowd, strict security arrangements have been made in Patna. Gandhi Maidan and its surrounding areas are being monitored 24 hours by drones. In order to conduct the program smoothly, the District Magistrate of Patna has canceled the leaves of all administrative and police officers till 20th November. Due to security reasons, Gandhi Maidan has been kept closed for the general public from 17 to 20 November.
This grand event is not just a swearing-in ceremony but is also being considered as a sign of the beginning of a new and strong innings of NDA in Bihar.
