Bidding starts for unique number plate, mobile number. The campaign was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the UAE.
About ten fancy car number plates and 21 unique mobile numbers were auctioned. The mobile number sold at the highest price was 058-7777777. According to a local newspaper, the auction for the number started at Rs 22 lakh and went up to Rs 7 crore.
The number plate of the car was sold for a total of Rs 65 crore. As soon as the news of selling SIM for Rs 7 crore went viral, users are giving tremendous reaction to it.
