People took to the streets against the atrocities of Pakistani government, indiscriminate lathi charge and firing on protesters

Public anger erupted over inflation and demand for rights

There is a severe shortage of flour, electricity and basic commodities in PoK for a long time. The local people, businessmen and students had decided to take out a peaceful march to protest against the economic exploitation by the Pakistani government. But to suppress this voice of the protesters, the Pakistani government started using force instead of choosing the path of dialogue. Within no time, the entire area turned into a cantonment and heavy police force and paramilitary forces were deployed to suppress the voices of common citizens.

Women, elderly and youth were chased on the streets and beaten with sticks. When this did not work, bullets were fired directly at the protesters to scare them. Instead of firing in the air, bullets were fired directly targeting people, due to which many people died on the spot and hundreds of others were seriously injured. There is a huge crowd of injured people in the hospitals.

International panic due to claim of 120 deaths

After this violent action, local organizations and foreign media reports are making big claims that the death toll has reached 120. However, as always, the Pakistani administration is trying hard to hide the real figures. In view of the tension in the area, internet services have been completely halted so that pictures and news of violence cannot come out from there. Despite this, this news has reached international human rights organizations and Pakistan is being criticized all over the world for this horrific massacre.
