Prayagraj, 06 September (HS). Industrial Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi reviewed the development works, law and order and revenue department works of Prayagraj in detail at the Circuit House this evening. Nandi expressed displeasure over the absence of responsible officers of many departments and directed the District Magistrate to take action against the concerned officers. In the meeting, instructions were given to issue show cause notice to SDM Phulpur for absence and any officer of PDA for absence, take action against Chief Engineer Electricity for absence and stop the salary of DSO and Drug Inspector.

While reviewing the law and order situation, Nandi reviewed the district's ranking in law and order, response time of PRB, action taken in very serious cases, cases related to SC-ST Act, cases related to Excise Act, NDPS Act, Cow Slaughter Prevention Act, POCSO Act, action taken in serious cases, arrest of criminals declared as prize, cases related to women, forest mafia, land mafia related matters, to control crimes more strictly, he has given instructions to immediately arrest wanted criminals, complete pending investigations on time, arrest criminals declared as prize as soon as possible and take immediate action on heinous crimes.

Expressing displeasure over the poor law and order situation in Prayagraj, Nandi directed to improve it and take strict action against criminals. He said that Prayagraj's ranking in compliance with law and order is 69 in the entire state, which is very poor. It needs to be improved and strict action should be taken against criminals. He said that pending investigations under the POCSO Act should be resolved soon. Also, foot patrolling should be increased not only in the city but in the entire district. Nandi directed to speed up action under section 14A. Additional Police Commissioner N Kolanchi, District Magistrate Navneet Chahal, CDO Gaurav Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Chandramohan Garg and officers of all other departments were present in the meeting.

In the review meeting, Nandi said that priority should be given to entrepreneur friends. If he goes to meet someone with an entrepreneur, Nandi directed the district magistrate to make a surprise visit on the complaint of GST department officials not reaching the office on time and not sitting in the office. While reviewing the Revenue Department, he said that the Dakhil Kharij should not be kept pending by making it controversial without any reason. Take full care that the name transfer process is completed in 45 days. Nandi said that in name transfer cases, only the parties or their relatives can lodge objections, and not outsiders.

He reviewed in detail the progress of works of major departments related to the permanent construction works of Mahakumbh Mela, disposal of complaint letters endorsed by them and other subjects. He gave instructions to complete the works being done in view of Mahakumbh within the prescribed time frame. The minister has given instructions to complete the road widening works expeditiously. Along with getting the complaint letters marked by him followed up, he said that action should be as per rules, should be correct, should be timely and should definitely be taken.

On the IGRS portal, information was obtained about the reasons for the high number of pending complaints in Prayagraj district and the poor ranking of the district and the actions being taken for quality disposal of complaints and improving the ranking. On which District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal told that by reviewing it daily, the disposal has been expedited and action has also been taken against the officers who were negligent in dealing with the complaints. He told that the salary of 78 officers was also withheld for the last month.

In the end, District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal assured the minister that whatever instructions have been given in today's meeting, their full compliance will be ensured. On this occasion, Additional Police Commissioner N. Kolanchi, Municipal Commissioner Chandra Mohan Garg, Chief Development Officer Gaurav Kumar, Additional District Magistrate Administration Mrs. Pooja Mishra, Additional District Magistrate City Madan Kumar, Chief Revenue Officer Kunwar Pankaj and other related officers were present.
