Market falls for the second consecutive day, Sensex opens 191 points down

Today i.e. on 14th March, a decline is being seen in the stock market. Sensex opened 191 points down at 72,570. Nifty also remained down by 15 points. It opened at 21,982. During early trading, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 declined and 12 gained.

There was the biggest decline in these shares

This decline was seen in the entire market. During the heavy selling, major indices like Sensex and Nifty fell by up to one and a half per cent, while small-cap indices fell by up to 6 per cent. Small cap index has declined by 5 percent, mid cap index by 4 percent and SME index by 6 percent.

During market opening, about 728 shares rose while 1752 shares declined. There was no change in 106 shares. ITC, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance and Cipla were the top gainers in the Nifty 50. While Power Greece Corp, Coal India, Adani Enterprises, NTPC and Adani Ports & SEZ were the major losers in the Nifty 50.

There was a huge decline yesterday

A day earlier on Wednesday, a sharp decline was seen in the market. The domestic stock market has been under pressure since the beginning of this week. On Wednesday, the third day of the week, the Sensex closed down 906.07 points (1.23 percent) at 72,761.89 points.
