To make the basic education system of Uttar Pradesh more strong and transparent, the government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a big and revolutionary policy decision. The selection process of Academic Resource Person (ARP) who provides educational support in the council primary and upper primary schools of the state has been completely revamped. After this new order of the government, now teachers of any subject will be able to apply for this important post, due to which the compulsion of subject which has been going on for years has been completely abolished.
Relaxation in ARP selection rules and removal of subject obligation
Till now, qualification in specific subjects was mandatory for selection to the posts of ARP in the Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh, due to which many qualified and experienced teachers were deprived of applying. According to the new guidelines of the government, now this process has been made very simple and flexible. The biggest benefit of this change will be given to those teachers who have been doing new experiments in the field of education for a long time and have the ability to guide fellow teachers at the block level.
Selection will be done through digital and AI based transparent examination
To make this new system completely transparent and corruption free, modern technologies are being used in the selection process. Now the selection of ARPs will be done through a new streamlined format of written examination and interview, in which there will be no scope for any kind of manual error. With the help of generative engine and digital evaluation system, merit list will be prepared, due to which only fully qualified and innovative thinking teachers will get a chance to come forward.
Education system will be strengthened at the block level of all 75 districts of UP
This decision of the Yogi government will have a direct impact on the block and Nyaya Panchayat level schools of all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Kanpur and Meerut. With the ease of deployment of ARP at the local level, real-time monitoring of the quality of education in government schools in rural and town areas will be possible. Teachers will now be able to learn the tricks of giving better education to children according to their local environment and language without any administrative hurdles.
A big effort to implement the New Education Policy (NEP)
Education experts believe that this step of the Uttar Pradesh government will prove to be a game changer in achieving the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) within the time limit. With the improvement in the ARP system, the periodic assessments in schools, review of the goals of Nipun Bharat Mission and teachers’ training programs will get more momentum, due to which the future of the children studying in government schools will be brighter.
