According to religious beliefs, Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Paush month is directly related to the happiness of children. It is said that by observing fast on this day and worshiping Lord Vishnu as per rituals, one gets virtue equal to ‘Vajpayee Yagya’. If you are tired of going through the hoops of medical science, then try this fast once with devotion.

  • Parana (time of breaking the fast): On the morning of 31 December 2025 (check the time as per your local Panchang, because the fast is broken only after Hari Vasar ends).

Avoid these 3 mistakes during puja (Big Mistakes to Avoid)
Often we get so engrossed in devotion that we ignore the rules. You get the results of Ekadashi only if you do not make these mistakes:

  1. Say ‘no’ to rice:
We all know this, but still let us remind you – eating rice on the day of Ekadashi is considered a “major sin”. Do not cook rice at home on this day, even if no one is fasting.
  2. Do not pluck basil leaves:
Worship of Lord Vishnu is incomplete without Tulsi, but It is prohibited to pluck basil leaves on the day of Ekadashi. Therefore, pluck the leaves for puja a day before (i,e, on 29th December),
  3. Anger and daytime sleepiness:
If you are fasting, keep your mind calm. Yelling at someone or sleeping in the afternoon can destroy the results of the fast. Keep chanting “Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya”.

‘Golden tip’ for childless couples
If you are observing this fast to have a child, then husband and wife both fast togetherDuring the puja, swing the child form of Lord Shri Krishna and offer butter and sugar candy, It is believed that by doing this, laughter will soon start echoing in the house,
