News India Live, Digital Desk: Bihar politics is known to change the equations of friendship and enmity, but this time Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has given such a statement regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, which has put an end to all speculations about future political alliances. Lalu Yadav has announced to completely close his doors to Nitish Kumar, who is famous for frequently changing sides.
In a recent interview, when Lalu Yadav was asked the question that if INDIA alliance needed Nitish Kumar’s support to form the government in future, would he accept it? On this, without a moment’s delay Lalu said in a clear and strict tone, “Now we will not accept Nitish Kumar.”
“I have completely lost trust in them.”
This statement of Lalu Yadav is not just a political comment, but the pain of betrayal that he and his son Tejashwi Yadav faced when Nitish Kumar suddenly left the Grand Alliance and joined the NDA. Lalu clarified that now he has no contact of any kind with Nitish Kumar nor does he want to have any in future.
He said that Nitish Kumar not only insulted the mandate that it got against BJP in 2022, but he also backstabbed the opposition unity campaign (INDIA alliance), of which he himself was a key architect.
When did Nitish reverse?
Nitish Kumar’s political career is known for changing alliances.
- 2017: Toppled the Grand Alliance (RJD-JDU-Congress) government and joined the NDA.
- August 2022: Left NDA and again returned to grand alliance with RJD.
- January 2024: Once again left the Grand Alliance and joined the NDA.
Due to his political character, he has also been called by names like “Palturam”.
The journey from doors “open” to “closed forever”
Interestingly, a few months ago, Lalu Yadav himself had created a stir in political circles by saying that “doors are always open” for Nitish. But now his latest statement is exactly 180 degrees opposite. This clearly indicates that RJD is no longer in a mood to trust Nitish Kumar again under any circumstances. Lalu and his party have understood that there is no guarantee of stability in Nitish Kumar’s politics and being with him always means inviting political uncertainty.
This final and decisive statement of Lalu is a big signal for the politics of Bihar. Now it has to be seen whether these “doors closed forever” really remain closed as per the time and need or will some new wind of politics force them to knock again.
