Nainital, May 27 (HS). The 15th anniversary of the city's women's organization Lake City Welfare Club was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Primary School Cantonment Council located on Bhawali Road in the city. On this occasion, a cake was cut under the leadership of MLA Sarita Arya.
MLA Sarita Arya said that the club has created its unique identity by continuously participating in social, religious, creative and Sanskrit programs. The five founding members of the organization and former presidents like Ritu Dalakoti, Hema Bhatt, Meenu Budhlakoti and Jyoti Dhoundiyal were honored.
On this occasion various competitions were held and their winners were honoured. Tanpreet, Prachi Arya and Jyoti Verma in Catwalk competition, Jeevanti Bhatt, Prachi Arya, Sarita Tripathi and Manju Bisht in Dhun Pehchaano, Rama Tiwari and Jaya Verma in Musical Chair Race, Deepa Pandey, Jyoti Verma, Sarita Tripathi and Abha Shah in Sajna Hai Mujhe Sajna Ke Liye were awarded by securing first and second positions respectively. Sarita Sirala received the title of Lake City Welfare Club Queen.
Special guests Prachi Arya and Deepa Bisht of American Kids were present in the program along with the club's Rani Shah, Vinita Pandey, Geeta Shah, Asha Pandey, Madhumita, Prema Adhikari, Deepika Binwal, Rama Bhatt, Kanchan Joshi, Daya Kunwar, Leela Raj, Seema Seth, Amita Shah, Neeru Shah, Rekha Pant, Kavita Gangola etc. The program was conducted by Deepa Pandey.
