IPO investment: The number of IPOs declined in April due to volatility in Sensex and Nifty as well as negative listings of back to back IPOs in March. A total of 3 IPOs and 1 FPO have been listed in April. However, the number of IPOs in the first four months of the current calendar year has increased four times compared to the same period last year.
A total of 24 IPOs have been listed on the main board from January to April 24. In 15 of these, investors are getting returns ranging from 10 percent to 140 percent. The IPO listed today has also given returns of up to 70 percent. However, after listing nine IPOs at a discount, only 2 of them Small Finance Bank (20.58 per cent), Crystal Integrated (6.11 per cent) are giving positive returns. Apart from this, investors have suffered capital loss in 7 cases.
More than 100 percent return in 3 IPOs
Jyoti CNC has emerged as the top performer among the IPOs so far in the current calendar year. Which is giving 144.52 percent return as compared to yesterday's close. Apart from this, the capital of investors of BLS e-Services and Exicom Tele-Systems has doubled. JNK India IPO to be listed today. Rs 415 against the issue price. It reached an all-time high of 709.85, giving investors a return of 71 percent. Whereas the other three listed IPOs have seen returns ranging from 50 percent to 100 percent.
Only six IPOs in the first four months of 2023
Last year, only six IPOs were listed in the first four months of 2023. In which positive returns have been seen in all except Radiant Cash Management. Whereas a total of 24 IPOs have been listed in the first four months of this year.
