Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a very aggressive stance after the ‘India Alliance’ of opposition parties continuously raised questions on the government and constitutional institutions. Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Wednesday hit out at the opposition alliance and said that this alliance is just a show without any concrete vision and seeing their defeat certain, the opposition parties have already started looking for excuses in advance. He sarcastically said that even before this meeting took place, disintegration was clearly visible within the Indi alliance due to internal strife.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, the senior BJP leader raised the question that if the issues being raised by the opposition parties were really so serious, then why major parties and leaders like Akhilesh Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal, MK Stalin and Hemant Soren did not attend this important meeting in person? He also underlined that Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) chief Uddhav Thackeray also had to attend the meeting virtually, which is a clear proof of the extent of distance and far-reaching differences that remain in this so-called alliance.
Taking a sharp dig at the Congress leadership and Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan claimed that the constituents of the Indi alliance themselves are not ready to accept Rahul Gandhi as their universal leader. He said that this matter had also come out openly during the recent Congress Working Committee meeting, where Rahul Gandhi had to say ‘trust me’. The direct meaning of this is that today even the Congress Party’s own workers and leaders are hesitant in trusting him.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan further said that the people of the country were expecting that after facing crushing defeats in several assembly and general elections one after the other, the Congress Party would apologize to the people of the country for its serious mistakes and would choose the path of introspection. But Congress has decided that it will never make any improvement in its working style. Instead of taking responsibility for its political failures and mistakes, the Congress Party continues to stick to its old politics of spreading confusion among the people of the country, telling lies and making baseless fabricated allegations.
Taking a dig at the upcoming political programs of the opposition, the Union Minister said that the conclusion of the meeting of this so-called Indi alliance is only three things – ‘zero vision, 100 percent frustration and advanced excuse for defeat’. Even before the election results came, the opposition has started preparing the script and excuses for its defeat. Referring to the ‘Save Democracy March’ announced from October 2 to October 8, he said that it is actually not ‘Save Democracy March’ but ‘Save Dynasty March’. The conscious people of the country are now completely determined that they will not allow nepotism and dynastic politics to be further promoted in the country at any cost.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan reminded an old incident of West Bengal and said that Rahul Gandhi himself had released a video before the Bengal elections and admitted that BJP was winning there because of Mamata Banerjee’s mistakes and misadministration, and not for any other reason. Rahul himself had exposed the real ground reasons before the country. Despite this, as the elections approach in the country, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and the entire Indi alliance suddenly start raising baseless questions on the impartiality of the judiciary, the Election Commission and other supreme constitutional institutions.
The Union Minister made a scathing attack and said that when the opposition parties are not able to reduce the leadership and popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the hearts of the people of the country through democratic means, then out of desperation they start hatching big conspiracies to spread anarchy and unrest within the country. He said that Rahul Gandhi is often seen on foreign tours advocating interference in India’s internal democracy in front of the foreign powers there. Despite adopting all kinds of tactics, the people of the country are standing firmly with Prime Minister Modi and no move of the opposition parties is going to be successful now.
