
Crop Insurance Advance: For the Kharif season 2024, twenty five percent of the advance crop insurance compensation amount has started to be deposited in the bank accounts of farmers from today. In September of Kharif season 2024, the fields of Poorna Taluka region received heavy rains. For this, compensation for soybean, cotton and pigeonpea crops was approved. Farmers have been waiting for the last three-four months to get crop insurance advance amount. Finally, the advance amount of crop insurance will be deposited in the accounts of farmers waiting today. An advance amount of Rs 335.90 crore has been sanctioned for farmers.
Eventually the government has approved the installment, which has cleared the way for payment. In Parbhani district, 7 lakh 63 thousand farmers had insured 5 lakh 24 thousand 267 hectares of land for soybean, cotton, tur, moong, urad, kharif jowar and millet crops. Insurance was approved for soybean, cotton and pigeonpea crops.
Of these, 7 lakh 14 thousand 161 farmers have registered for these crops. Of this, the area of soybean is 385,000 hectares, 89,000 hectares of cotton and 35,547 hectares of pigeonpea.
The rate was already announced in view of the damage caused by heavy rains in Parbhani district. That is why it was approved. However, the farmers are upset as they have not been paid for the last three-four months.
Many parties and organizations had also made statements in this regard. There were also protests there. Therefore, the way has been cleared for the farmers of the district to get crop insurance. The wait for the administration to collect this amount is over. The insurance amount will be deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers.
Distribution will start from today.
The agriculture department, which is always indifferent to crop insurance, still has no information about it. In -charge Agriculture Superintending Officer Daulat Chavan refused to comment on it. However, the district coordinator of the insurance company said that the premium of the company will be distributed to the farmers from today.
Insurance amount will be deposited in the account from today
The amount will be deposited in the accounts of farmers who have been sanctioned advance amount from April 10. 268.59 crore has been sanctioned for soybean growers, Rs 53 crore for cotton and Rs 14.14 crore for tur.
