A sensational incident has come to light in Palamu district of Jharkhand. Uday Singh, a para teacher, resident of Chilho Khurd village of Patan police station area, has been brutally murdered by slitting his throat. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the entire area.

• After the phone call: Deceased Uday Singh was at his home on Thursday night. Then he got a call from someone, after which he came out of the house saying that he was meeting someone.

• Search and Recovery: When Uday did not return for a long time, his family members started searching for him. His motorcycle was found abandoned on the road to Nagadara, about one and a half kilometers away from home.

• Recovery of dead body: Shortly afterwards, when the police and villagers searched the area, the blood-soaked body of Uday Singh was recovered. He was murdered by slitting his throat.

When the police reached the spot, the condition of the dead body was extremely horrific. During the investigation, the police have found some important clues, which indicate that the murder was committed by someone close or known to them:

1. Liquor Bottles: Liquor and beer bottles have been recovered from near the dead body. It is being suspected that Uday Singh had a meeting with the killers before the murder.

2. Identity Challenge: The body was completely stained with blood, making identification difficult even during initial investigation.

Police action and expectations from CDR

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have formed a special team. Police’s full focus now on technical evidence:

• CDR will become the basis: Police say that only the last phone call received on Uday Singh’s mobile will reveal the secret of the murder. Police is trying to find out through CDR (Call Detail Record) with whom he last talked on Thursday night.

• Post mortem: The body has been sent for post-mortem, so that scientific information can be obtained about the causes and time of death.

Police statement: The local police station in-charge has assured that the matter is being investigated thoroughly and soon the accused will be identified and arrested. At present, the police is interrogating the suspects on the basis of evidence found from the spot.
