A total of 24,752 posts have been divided into Non-TSP and TSP areas on geographical and administrative basis:

• Non-Scheduled Area (Non-TSP Area): 24,277 posts

• Range of Application: A candidate will be eligible to apply for only one municipal body out of 183 bodies across the state. Forms may be rejected if applied to more than one body.

Requirement of educational qualification abolished: Who can apply?

The requirement of traditional formal education has been completely abolished in the Safai Karmachari Recruitment Rules:

• No minimum educational qualification: There is no requirement of passing 5th, 8th or 10th from any school board for this post. Illiterate (without education) candidates are also fully entitled to apply.

• Domicile Proof: It is mandatory for the candidate to be a permanent resident of Rajasthan state (Domicile Holder).

• Minimum 1 year experience: The applicant should have at least 1 year of continuous or cumulative experience of carrying out cleaning work in any urban body (Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, Municipality), Central or State Government Department, Semi-Government Undertaking or authorized placement agency/contractor of Rajasthan.

• Signature of Competent Authority: If the work has been done directly in the urban body, then the experience certificate should be issued by the concerned Chief Municipal Officer (EO/Commissioner) or authorized officer only.

• Validity date of certificate: As per the guidelines of the notification, it is necessary for the experience certificate to be issued and verified by the competent level. There is a provision for legal action and cancellation of candidature if forged or fake experience certificates are found.

Age limit and category wise relaxation rules (Age Limit as on 01 January 2027)

Age for Safai Karmachari Recruitment 2026 will be calculated as on 1 January 2027:

• General Age Limit: The minimum age of the applicant should be 21 years and maximum age should be 40 years.

• Reserved Category (Male): Male candidates of SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS category of Rajasthan will be given relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit.

• General Category Female Candidates: General category women of Rajasthan origin will get a relaxation of 5 years.

• Reserved category female candidates: There is a provision of special relaxation of 10 years in the maximum age for women candidates of SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS category of Rajasthan.

• Widows and abandoned (divorced) women: There is no maximum age limit for these, it is only necessary to be below the retirement age.

How will selection be done without examination? 4 Stage Priority and Lottery System

The selection process in this recruitment is fully computerized and merit/lottery based:

• First priority (entity level): Local eligible candidates having minimum 1 year of cleaning experience in the same urban body for which the notification has been issued will be included in the lottery process first.

• Second Priority (District Level): If posts remain vacant in that body even after the first phase, then candidates having 1 year experience in other urban bodies of the same district will get a chance in the lottery.

• Third Priority (State Level): If there are still seats left after the district level, candidates having cleaning experience in any other body of Rajasthan state will be included in the lottery.

• Fourth stage (documents and health test): Candidates selected in the lottery will be issued appointment letters directly after physical verification of original documents and medical examination.

Application fee and One Time Registration (OTR) system

Under the Integrated Recruitment System of Rajasthan Government, candidates will have to pay the fee as per ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR) system on Rajasthan SSO Portal:

• General category and other state candidates: ₹600
