
There is a relief news for the candidates preparing to become the prestigious Group ‘A’ Administrative Officer in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the last date of online application for the recruitment of 80 posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) in EPFO. As per the previously scheduled schedule, the online registration process was ending on September 11, 2026. According to the official notice released by the Commission, now interested and eligible candidates can successfully submit their application form through the online portal of the Commission till 6:00 pm on 14th September 2026. This is the last opportunity for thousands of youth who were deprived of filling the form due to technical problems or slow server.
UPSC has advised the candidates to complete the registration well before the deadline to avoid increasing load on the servers at the last moment.

Application Fee: The application fee for male candidates of General (UR), OBC and EWS category has been fixed at only ₹ 25. Whereas all women candidates, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Disabled (PwBD) category candidates have been given complete exemption from fee payment.
Through this special recruitment drive (Advt. No. 52/2026), permanent appointments will be made on a total of 80 posts.

Salary: Pay matrix level-10 (pay scale ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500) will be applicable under the Seventh Pay Commission (7th CPC), which includes all central allowances including DA, HRA, TA, apart from basic pay.
The eligibility conditions prescribed by the Commission are as follows:

Educational qualification: It is mandatory for the candidate to have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject (Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering etc.) from any recognized university or institute of the country. Additionally, candidates having Diploma in Company Law, Labor Laws or Public Administration will be given desirable preference in selection.

Age Limit: The maximum age for unreserved (UR) and EWS categories has been fixed at 35 years. As per government rules, upper age relaxation has been given to OBC category by 3 years (maximum 38 years), SC/ST category by 5 years (maximum 40 years) and Divyang category by 10 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of cutoff date of application.
UPSC EPFO APFC Recruitment process is mainly based on two stages:

First Stage — Pen and Paper/Computer Based Recruitment Test (RT): The first phase will be of written examination, which is proposed to be held on 20 December 2026. This exam will be of total 300 marks, in which 120 objective (MCQ) questions will be asked. The time limit for the exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes). In this, negative marking of one-third (1/3rd i.e. 0.83 marks) will be applicable for each wrong answer.

Second Stage – Interview: Candidates who score merit in the written examination will be called for interview for 100 marks. In preparing the final selection list, the weightage of Recruitment Test (RT) and Interview marks is kept in the ratio of 75:25.
