Jaipur, August 19 (HS). Raksha Bandhan festival was celebrated with devotion on Shravani Purnima (Monday) at the revered deity Govind Dev Ji temple of the capital Jaipur. Special Raksha Bandhan tableau was seen on Monday afternoon from 1.30 to 2 pm. Temple Mahant Shri Anjan Kumar Goswami tied golden Kalaboot Rakhi on the wrists of Thakurji and Radha Rani ji. Apart from this, Rakhi was also tied to Shaligram ji and Sakhis. Along with these Rakhis, Durva flower and Mauli Rakhi were also tied. After this, Rakhis presented by the devotees were tied. During this, a large number of devotees offered Raksha Sutra to Thakurji and took a pledge to protect him. On this occasion, Thakurji was dressed in a new golden Parche dress and special decoration was done on Purnima. On Monday morning, after Mangala, Thakur Shri ji was anointed with Panchamrit. Laddu, Mathri and Kachori were offered to the Lord. Rakhis and Prasad were sent to the members of the former royal family on behalf of Govind Devji Temple.
Chanting took place in the morning and evening
As part of the Janmashtami program, Shri Jagadguru Ramanand Sankirtan Mandal performed bhajans in the morning and Shri Shiv Satsang Bhavan Trust Jaipur performed bhajans in the evening at the Govind Devji temple. Devotees dressed in yellow attire performed dance and song in front of Thakurji.
Famous artists will give cultural presentations on Tuesday
Temple Sevadhikari Manas Goswami said that cultural events will start from Tuesday. On August 20, artists from Shri Gauranga Mahaprabhu Temple Jaipur will please Thakurji by performing bhajans and kirtans in the morning. In the evening, Meenakshi Lamboria will present classical dance Bharatnatyam. Deepak Mathur will sing. Madhav Saxena will present Krishna Leela and Rekha Saini will present dance. On August 21, in the morning, bhajans and kirtans will be performed by Shri Radha Govind Prabhat Ferry Mandal. In the evening, Alok Bhatt will spread the sound waves of Krishna bhajans. On August 22, in the morning, bhajans and kirtans will be performed by Shri Nimbarka Parishad Mandal. In the evening, Avinash Sharma will present a jugalbandi of singing and dancing. On August 23, bhajans and kirtans will be performed by Shri Radha Govind Sakhi Parivar in the morning and Sanjay Raiyada and Manju Sharma will present singing and dancing in the evening. On August 24, in the morning, Shri Vitthal Bhaiya and his companions will perform bhajans and kirtans. In the evening, there will be Bhajan Sankirtan by Shri Gauranga Mahaprabhu Sankirtan Mandal. On August 25, in the morning, there will be Ashta Prahar Harinam Sankirtan by Vrindavan Vaishnav Mandal.
