News India Live, Digital Desk: Gold Rates Today: Gold and silver prices are showing some softness in the Indian market today. Today, on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), on Wednesday, September 18, 2025, gold prices fell. At the same time, silver has also become cheaper. Its impact is also visible on retail prices in big cities of the country.

What is the condition of gold and silver on MCX?
In October, the deliveries futures on MCX fell by 0.28 per cent to Rs 72,400 per 10 grams this morning. Whereas, the previous closing took place at Rs 72,605. Similarly, the November delivery silver futures fell 0.50 per cent to Rs 94,598 per kg, which closed at Rs 95,078 in the previous session.

International market trend:
Gold remained down in the global market today, especially due to strength in US dollars. Gold becomes expensive for the holders of other currencies due to the strengthening of the dollar index, which affects its demand. Gold spot price on comex was trading at $ 2,305 an ounce on Comex, while the spot silver was trading at $ 28.53 an ounce with a decline of 0.99 per cent.
