Today in Ahmedabad gold and silver market, the price of gold increased by Rs 500 per 10 grams to Rs 67800 at 99.50 and Rs 68000 at 99.90. Ahmedabad silver price rose by Rs 500 per kg to Rs 74,500.
There were indications that the government may have increased the tariff value used as the benchmark for calculating import duty on domestically imported gold and silver due to the rise in the world market. Due to this increase in the effective import duty of gold and silver, its impact was also seen on the jewelery market. The duty price of gold has increased from US$687 to US$696 per 10 grams, while the duty price of silver has increased from US$724 to US$809 per kg.
Gold and silver prices rose further in Mumbai jewelery market today. The world market was strong. The positive impact of the rise in the dollar against the rupee was seen on the jewelery market. In the world market, gold prices ranged from 2172 to 2172 and from 2157 to 2161 to 2162 dollars per ounce. Global silver prices were at a high of $25.24 to $25.15 to $25.16.
Meanwhile, copper prices in the world market increased by 1.40 to 1.45 percent. Platinum prices rose from $951 to $952 an ounce, while palladium rose above $1100 to $1105 from $1103 to $1104. Crude oil prices were also increased in the world market. The price of Brent crude was higher from $85.37 to $85.02 per barrel and the price of US crude was higher from $81.26 to $80.97 per barrel.
Meanwhile, gold prices in Mumbai bullion market today rose from Rs 99.50 to Rs 65,297 and from 99.90 to Rs 65,559 without GST. Whereas in Mumbai the price of silver became Rs 74210 without GST. Gold and silver prices in Mumbai were 3 percent more than this price including GST.
