He is known as the Adishakti of the universe, because according to mythology, he created this universe with his slow smile. When there was nothing, then light spread in the whole world with these mother’s aura and life started. That is why he was named ‘Kushmanda’, which means to create the universe with his small energy (egg).
All the devotees who worship them with true mind and full devotion, all their sufferings go away. Mother Kushmanda blesses us of health, money and long life. They have eight hands and they are riding on the lion. Every hand has its different weapons, Amrit Kalash and lotus flowers beautified, which symbolizes strength and prosperity.
On this auspicious occasion, we should pray to the mother to give us goodwill, remove all negative powers from within us and give us happiness and peace in life.
