Firing in Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir
Significantly, earlier there was a shootout in Kathua on 24 January. A search operation was started on suspicion of hiding terrorists there. The activity of the terrorists was detected at around 1.30 pm and the army started firing. The firing continued for about half an hour from both sides. However, there is no news of any casualty in this firing. Officials said there were three terrorists, who ran towards the nearby forest after action.
Raids at about 25 places in Jammu and Kashmir
Meanwhile, the police and army in Jammu and Kashmir raided around 25 locations of jointly active terrorists and their families. During this time the team found several important documents and objectionable materials. This action was taken on the basis of warrant received from the NIA court. Search operations were carried out in various areas including Rajouri, Naushera, Thana Mandi, Dhar Hall, Kotranka, Budhal, Manjakot and Chingas.
