Jalandhar: Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal has been nominated as a Member of the Council of the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA). The appointment was made by Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar against a regular vacancy. Expressing gratitude for the nomination, Dr. Mittal said that it is a great honour for him to serve as a member of the SPA. He said that he is committed to promoting innovation and excellence in education to ensure a bright future for the youth of the country.

The School of Planning and Architecture was established by an Act of Parliament and is the premier institute for architecture in India. Currently, the School of Planning and Architecture has three campuses, located in New Delhi, Bhopal and Vijayawada. These are institutes of national importance and are pioneers in imparting education in planning, architecture and design. SPA provides comprehensive training at various levels focusing on various aspects of human habitat and environment.
