Don’t tell your happiness to everyone, otherwise it won’t take long to get noticed: Chanakya Niti:

When we get any big success in life or some good news comes, we feel like telling it to the whole world. But Acharya Chanakya says that this is where we should control our emotions a little. There are many people around us who outwardly seem to be our sympathizers, but after seeing our progress, snakes start coiling in their hearts.

According to Chanakya Niti, if you want a peaceful life, then you should always keep your happiness a secret from certain types of people.

1. Don’t take everyone for granted (pretentious people)
Chanakya says that not every handshaker is a friend. There are many people who, after hearing your success, will say ‘congratulations’, but in their mind they will think, “Why didn’t I get this success, why did he get it?” This comparison gradually takes the form of jealousy and the positivity that should have been there in your relationship turns into hatred. So, celebrate your achievements only with those who are truly yours.

2. People who are jealous by nature (jealous)
There are some people in the society whose very nature is to ‘burn’. They don’t care how hard you have worked. As soon as you tell them your happiness, they will try to minimize it. They’ll say, “Oh, it was just a fluke” or “What’s the big deal?” Such people try their best to reduce your happiness and break your confidence. It is better to keep your victory hidden from such negative people.

3. Those with whom there is already a conflict
This is very practical advice. If your relationship with a person is already bad or is going sour, then expressing your happiness in front of them is like saying ‘Come bull kill me’. They will feel uncomfortable seeing your happiness and their discomfort will create more bitterness towards you. They may take it as a challenge and try to put obstacles in your way.

4. Those who are not trustworthy
Chanakya asks to be most careful with those people who have a light stomach or who are not trustworthy. If you tell any good news or future plan to such a person, they can use that information against you. They may distort your words and present them to others, which may tarnish your image and create unnecessary stress.

conclusion
Remember, happiness increases when shared, but with the right person. Happiness shared with the wrong person can lead to evil eye and jealousy. So the next time something good happens, keep it limited to just yourself or the people closest to you.
